Przebadamy 100 osób w wieku pomiędzy 18 a 60 rokiem życia, pacjentów oddziałów dziennych: Oddziału Leczenia Psychoz i Oddziału Rehabilitacji Psychiatrycznej Szpitala Uniwersyteckiego w Krakowie. Kwalifikacja pacjentów będzie opierać się na klinicznej diagnozie lekarskiej schizofrenii (F20.1, F20.2, F20.3, F20.5, F20.6) w oparciu o kryteria Międzynarodowej Statystycznej Klasyfikacji Chorób i Problemów Zdrowotnych – wersja 10 (ICD-10). W badaniu będą brały udział osoby w stanie częściowej remisji objawów umożliwiającej wyrażenia świadomej zgody na uczestnictwo w badaniu i wypełnienie kwestionariuszy. W celu kontroli nasilenia objawów psychopatologicznych i wyodrębnienia syndromu pozytywnego i negatywnego zostanie wykonane badanie za pomocą Skali Zespołu Pozytywnego i Negatywnego (ang. Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale - PANSS, (Kay i wsp., 1987). Z badania zostaną wyłączone osoby z rozpoznaniem innych zaburzeń psychicznych; które nadużywały środków psychoaktywnych i alkoholu w ciągu 6 miesięcy poprzedzających badanie lub miały zdiagnozowane uzależnienie wg kryteriów ICD 10; rozpoznanie otępienia lub upośledzenia umysłowego;, niewyleczone poważne choroby somatyczne (np. nowotwór) czy neurologiczne (np. padaczka); historia poważnych urazów mózgu lub utraty świadomości (trwające powyżej 60 sekund; używanie benzodizepin do 12 godzin przed badaniem.
